Het gebruik van deze platen heeft 2 doeleinden.Een eerste bestaat erin vloeibare producten te vacumeren. Doorhet gebruik van deze platen komt het vloeibare produkt perfecthorizontaal te liggen, iets lager dan de seal balk, waardoor hetprodukt niet uitloopt in de vacuümkamer.- Een tweede mogelijkheid bestaat erin de platen te verwijderenwaardoor de gehele diepte van de kamer kan benut worden voorgrotere vacuüm producten. De vacuümtijd is wel iets langer.
